General Registration Policies
Forms of Payment
Credit Cards are the only forms of payment for HOT CHIPS 2024. Registration may be charged using a Visa™, MasterCard™, “Discover™ or American Express™ card. All credit card payments require the credit card number, expiration date, name as it appears on the card, CVS code, and the complete billing address.
- Credit Card Rejections: Please be sure that the billing address you supply is current. In our experience most credit card rejections are due to a mismatch between the address you enter and the address on file with your credit card provider. For example, you may have moved recently or are using a company credit card. It is particularly important that street number and postal code be correct. If you have a problem the best first step is to contact your credit card provider directly. If you still have problems please contact regsitration@hotchips.org.
Registration Deadlines
- 11:59 PM (PDT), Friday, August 02, 2024 is the DEADLINE to qualify for the early registration rate. Payment transactions must be completed on or before the DEADLINE to take advantage of this discounted rate.
- Late registration online will be available up to and including the dates of the conference.
- 11:59 PM (PDT) Wednesday, August 21, 2024 is the last date to request refunds.
Refunds and Cancellations
- Email requests for cancellations must be received by HOT CHIPS on or before 11:59 PM Wednesday, August 21, 2024, and are subject to a $25 processing fee. Cancellations are only possible by emailing .registration@hotchips.org
- Registrations are transferable by contacting registration@hotchips.org.
- Cancellations received after 11:59 PM (PDT), Wednesday, August 21, 2024 will NOT be honored and all registration fees will be forfeited.
IEEE Membership Discount Requirement
- Membership status must be current at the time of registration. No refunds will be made for post-registration changes in membership status.
- If you would like information on becoming an IEEE member, visit the IEEE homepage.
- No company memberships accepted; individual memberships only.
Student Discount
A special student rate applies to individuals who are currently enrolled in school. We may request additional information, such as your student ID card, from you to verify your status. Student regsitrations should user thier university email address.
We are seeking student volunteers to help us out with the conference. Please visit our Volunteer page and check out the benefits of volunteering for HOT CHIPS. If you wish to volunteer please send an email to volunteer@hotchips.org
Press Discount
Qualified members of the press may register for the conference at deeply discounted rates. To apply for a Press Discount Code please send an E-mail to press@hotchips.org.
Registration with Special Discount Codes
If you are in one of the categories shown below you will receive a DISCOUNT CODE from your Hot Chips contact (i.e. the press chair, sponsorship chair, program session chair or registration chair). These codes may only be used at a special registration site, which will be included in your registration instructions:
- Press
- Speaker (Tutorial, Conference, Keynote, Poster Presenter)
- Vendor
- Technical Assistant to a speaker
- Hot Chips Committee Member – Organizing, Program or Steering Committee
- Volunteer
